What a Museum would look like if the museum is dedicated only to Photographic Art.

Photographic Art Museum

Concept

Framing
Layering
Juxtaposing

Photographic art is a result of framing an object or space in time. The new Photographic Art Museum design started with framing activities happening in the new museum. By composing those activity frames, the look of a museum dedicated only to photographic art emerged.

Frame is…

  • Architecture
  • Media Wall
  • Picture Frame
  • Planter
  • Porous
  • Reflector
  • Structure
  • Water Collector

Building-Scale Frames

The entire building is a series of building-scale frames. The reflectivity of the frame material mimics the way photographic art is produced via the reflection of light.
